Founded in 2021 by Jules Bal with close friend and now business partner Kieran joining the business shortly after.
Over the past 4 years the business has grown and grown from single market trader to now supplying some of Scotland’s finest establishments, including everything from restaurants and hospitality to bakeries, delis and butchers.
Wee knob, formally ‘oui knob’ referencing Jules French heritage, having moved to Scotland aged 14 from La Rochelle, France. The business changed its name in 2024 on its 3 year anniversary. Both Jules and Kieran believed in the change being the right way forward, based on their pride in use of local suppliers and ingredients, and the local dialect was more in fitting with this ethos.
The boys insist on using only the finest of ingredients, sourcing locally as often as possible, for the best flavours and maximum freshness.
