Angela is a seasoned estate planner at Aria Legal, one of the country's leading firms specialising in estate and legacy planning solutions for individuals, families, and businesses across Scotland. With nearly two decades of experience, Angela advises clients on the complexities of legacy planning and inheritance tax. She is an associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Institute of Professional Will Writers. Angela began her career as a financial adviser, working with major banks as part of their private client teams, where she specialised in inheritance tax and trust planning. During this time, she was frequently recognised as a top-performing adviser, not only within her own team but across the UK. It was in this role that Angela identified a significant gap in post-death planning. She saw first-hand how issues around succession and taxation were often inadequately addressed, often leaving unnecessary complications for the next generation. Frustrated by the lack of comprehensive advice available, she made the decision to establish her own estate planning firm alongside her husband, Chris, an experienced adviser in his own right.
