Inspired by the atmosphere of a Miami Beach club, the feature blends bold colour, relaxation zones and practical elements to create a safe, stimulating and stylish outdoor environment for dogs.
Designing with dogs in mindThe Bark Yard focuses on creating outdoor spaces that encourage natural dog behaviours while remaining functional for everyday living.
Features include shaded rest areas, secure boundaries, sensory planting, water play zones and dedicated digging spaces designed to support enrichment and wellbeing.
Behaviour experts from Dogs Trust also contributed guidance on practical considerations such as non-toxic planting, textured surfaces and calm retreat areas for dogs during warmer weather.
Stylish solutions for modern livingAlongside practical advice, the feature demonstrates how pet friendly design can work seamlessly within contemporary outdoor spaces.
