Running a home today means keeping track of dozens of documents, pieces of information and important dates; from insurance policies and warranties to passports, subscriptions and tax records.

Most people manage this across emails, folders, calendars and memory.

Doqit is an app designed to bring those pieces together in one secure place, helping households organise important documents, store key information and keep track of the dates and renewals that matter.

The idea for Doqit came from Scottish entrepreneur Catherine Ann Reid's own experience managing the complex life administration that comes with work, family life and raising her daughter Chloe, who has a rare genetic condition.

Alongside running a household and coordinating medical care, Catherine-Ann found herself juggling paperwork across multiple systems - insurance documents, warranties, tax records and medical information - often stored in different places.

After filing her tax return late three years in a row simply because she couldn’t locate the information she needed, she became convinced there had to be a better way.

That realisation led to the creation of Doqit; a simple system designed to help people stay on top of the essential details that keep everyday life running.

Today it helps individuals and families organise the documents, information and important dates behind everyday responsibilities, reducing mental load, saving time and preventing costly oversights such as missed renewals, forgotten deadlines and unwanted auto-renewals.

As Catherine-Ann explains:

“Everyone I speak to has a story about life admin - a late tax return, an insurance policy rolling over, or hours spent searching for important paperwork. I know that feeling of overwhelm, and I wanted to build something that genuinely helps people stay on top of it.”
